The exhibition Flat File 2021/22 at PeepSpace features two-dimensional small works by artists selected through a curatorial process based on open call and invitation. Opening: Friday, November 19th, 2021. Beyond the exhibition, all works will be available for viewing and sale inside PeepSpace’s Flat File. Curators: Monica Carrier and Jane Kang Lawrence.
Eternal Form 1-3 come from a series created through working with cumulative collections of found and organized things, such as magazine page fragments and other ephemeral materials, through a process of image-transfer using household tape and colored pencils. Source imagery includes repeated elements from the work of Czech artist Stanislav Libenský and Slovene architect Jože Plečnik. Parts of each drawing build to give soft shape to accretive architectural forms. Texture, increment, and edge figure in strongly.
